Welcome to my blurb hole. This is the place I write things when I want to (share|remember|promote) them.

On the 'net, I go by floob (rhymes with tube and boob). No, I'm not actually a doctor. I'm a web developer, software engineer, and acedemic. Nerds rejoice and normal folk be warned.

I'm a vegetarian. I'm married to an incredible woman who shares my passions. I freelance fulltime to pay the bills, but I'm looking to settle down with a full-time job at the right company.

I designed and built this blog from scratch using:

• Inkscape for all my mockups & designs
• Gimp to tweak the images
• SilkSprite and Button Plugins from BlueprintCSS to make the backend look pretty
• markItUp! to make HTML blog entries stupid-simple
• CakePHP because it's easy and I know it very well
• The art of many creative, generous folk that have kindly shared thier hard work.
