I am an extremely lucky guy. I have found love beyond anything I had ever imagined. I've found that nothing else matters quite as much. I could be living in a cardboard box in some hollywood alley without a penny to my name and it wouldn't matter one bit. Aside from the colder nights and less productive days, I would still be spending my life with the one woman I've found to be the most beautiful, intelligent person I've ever known.

I don't know how you define success or happiness, personally. To each person, those terms might mean something very different. To me, they mean that my life has found a path that is both rewarding and promising. My days are filled with stress and struggle, but I end my day knowing that at least one person in this world loves exactly who I am right now. I strive for excellence, to be the person I see myself in ten years at the top of some IT food chain, but I can sleep at night knowing that a knowledgeable, intelligent person respects my endeavors as they are, as yet unmet.

When all is said and done in this rapidly changing world, if you can sleep at night knowing that you are doing the things that make your life worthwhile, I commend you and wish you the most beautiful of dreams. For the rest who do not cleanly fit the mold: I hope you'll take a step back to reexamine the priorities in your life. Life is too short, after all, to spend focused on irrelevant things. Find your passions, make them mean something to you every day, and never look back.
